• Mt Fuji views and
    Sakura for hedonists
  • Yamanashi , Japan
  • Get closer to the most famous symbol of Japan,
Mt Fuji, at the time sakura cherry blossoms bloom – do so on a private tour.

Highlights

Relax and recharge at classic Japanese-style hotel with open-air hot springs with a view of the mountain, heated by sleeping volcano Fuji-san.
Sample the best of Japanese cuisine, without giving up comfort of sleeping in Western bed in a spacious Japanese room, or flexibility where you go and what you see in Mt Fuji area.

  • Stay near snow-capped Mt Fuji for two nights
Enough contingency to see the mountain the following day, if upon your arrival clouds block the view of perfectly-shaped volcano.
  • Experience classic Japanese-style hotel with open-air hot springs
We have selected the authentic Japanese hotel which you would enjoy – without having to sleep (or sit) on the floor.
  • Maximize your time enjoying sights and experiences.
Minimize the time wasted in tiresome “day trips to Fuji” from Tokyo, by staying near iconic volcano mountain and driving around to spot sakura blossoms amidst the best background you can wish for.
  • Have some flexibility where to go and how to entertain yourself when you have enough of Mt Fuji and hot springs – enjoy your private tour to the full
The Mt Fuji area is filled with attractions and with sakura cherry blossoms viewing spots, but you need ample time and a car with experienced driver to tour them – not possible on a day trip, but perfectly doable and enjoyable if staying in the area.
  • Private vehicle on the parts of the journey where it makes most sense, and the stories from your guide where you deem it appropriate
Distances are significant, public transport in remote areas is infrequent and can be crowded with mass tourists, hence we use a private vehicle to minimize the time on the road, waiting times and transfers, ensuring your comfort in any weather. Meanwhile, your guide entertains you along the way, sharing the knowledge behind what you see and its significance in Japanese culture.

Gourmet near Mt Fuji – very local delicacies

If you arrive by noon or earlier, you can have lunch nearby JR Mishima station sampling one of the three local delicacies

1. grilled unagi eel on steamed rice, or
2. tofu (soybean curd) made using water from underground streams of Mt Fuji, or
3. seafood sourced from famous Numazu fishing port nearby
All is served with freshly harvested wasabi, locally grown. Choose one of the three themes when selecting your restaurant – but mind a very narrow window for lunch, noon to 1:30PM/ 2PM, typical for Japan outside of big cities. You also can just skip lunch if you had big breakfast, in anticipation for substantial multicourse dinner awaiting you in the evening at the hotel.
