Imperial Palace (Nijubashi Bridge)

Tsukiji
Tsukiji, an area known as "Tokyo's Kitchen" for many years. Even after the market relocated, the Outer Market remains bustling with its many shops offering food and food-related items. Walk along the alleys throughout the Outer Market and enjoy shopping for goods and tasting local food.

Senso-ji Temple & Nakamise Shopping Street
Senso-ji, Tokyo's oldest temple, offers plenty to see including the bright red Kaminarimon Gate, a statue of the god of thunder, and a five-story pagoda. The bustling street known as "Nakamise" stretches for about 250 m from Kaminarimon Gate to Senso-ji Temple and is filled with a plethora of shops.

Nikko Toshogu Shrine
A registered UNESCO World Heritage Site, this sacred place with over 400 years of history is where Ieyasu Tokugawa, the founder of the Tokugawa Shogunate, is enshrined. Enjoy seeing the traditional beauty of the main hall, as well as the sleeping cat and 3 monkey carvings.

Lunch

Lake Chuzenji
Created by an eruption of Mt. Nantai, Lake Chuzenji is a symbol of Nikko. *Please check the [Important Notes/Supplements: About Day 3 Itinerary (Nikko Tour)].

Kegon Falls
Known as one of Japan's 3 great waterfalls, Kegon Falls towers an impressive 97 meters and gushes water from Lake Chuzenji. [Remarks] The charge to take the Kegon Falls elevator is not included in the booking price. Admire the waterfall from the observation deck facing the falls free of charge.

Tobu Nikko Station
Stop at Tobu Nikko Station.

Hanyu Parking Area
The Hanyu Parking Area is a rest area along the highway which creates a close representation of an Edo Period town. See the beautiful structures and famous long-established shops dating back to the Edo Period, and enjoy shopping for souvenirs. [Remarks] Depending on road conditions, the tour may stop at a different parking area (rest area) instead of the Hanyu Parking Area. In this case, please note that the different rest area will not be a representation of an Edo Period town.

Shinjuku
This tour disbands upon arrival near Shinjuku Station West Exit. Please make your own way to the hotel accommodation in Tokyo from Shinjuku.

Mt. Fuji 5th Station
The bus will head up to the 5th Station along the Subaru Line. The 5th Station is situated at 2,300 meters (7,546 feet) above sea level. Lunch

Lake Ashi Cruise
At Lake Ashi in Hakone, customers can ride a cruise ship. Spend a relaxing time while gazing at the beautiful lake and Mt. Fuji. *The tour may be guided to an alternative destination if the Lake Ashi cruise operation is suspended, or depending on road conditions, congestion, etc. *Please check [Important Notes/Supplements: About Day 6 Itinerary (Mt. Hakone Komagatake Ropeway
Take a 7-minute ropeway ride to the peak of Mt. Komagatake. A total of 50 minutes will be spent here, including time to walk around at the peak. Take a cableway ride up to the spiritual Hakone Shrine Mototsumiya (original shrine) that nestles at the mountaintop. Enjoy the scenery of Lake Ashi spread out below. *The tour may be guided to an alternative destination if the Komagatake Ropeway operation is suspended, or depending on road conditions, congestion, etc. *Please check [Important Notes/Supplements: About Day 6 Itinerary (Mt. Hakone-en
Depending on traffic congestion on the day and any itinerary order change, the tour may disembark at Moto-Hakone Port.

Todai-ji Temple (Great Buddha) Nara Park
A World Heritage site. This is the symbol of the Nara Period and one of the world's largest wooden structures. Its huge main hall and bronze Great Buddha are impressive to behold.

Kasuga Taisha Shrine

Nara Nagomikan (Gift Shop)

Nijo Castle
A World Heritage site. Tour the historical castle completed in 1626, which was built to provide lodging for the Tokugawa Shogun and as a palladium for Kyoto Imperial Palace. Kinkaku-ji Temple
A World Heritage site. The wooden architecture is covered in thin layers of pure gold and is surrounded by a beautiful pond.

[Regular] Kyoto Imperial Palace

[Kyoto Imperial Palace Closed Days] Kitano Tenmangu Shrine
Kitano Tenmangu Shrine is the substitute for Kyoto Imperial Palace on days it is closed to visitors. It is famous for housing the God of scholarship. This shrine's main hall is a designated national treasure. Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine
Fushimi Inari Taisha is the head shrine of some 40,000 inari-jinja shrines located all over Japan. The bright red Senbon Torii gates are a must-see attraction.

Sanjusangen-do Temple
Visit the world's longest wooden structure, housing 1,001 life-size statues of Buddhist Kannon deities dating back to the 13th century.

Kiyomizu-dera Temple
The view of Kyoto from the World Heritage Site of Kiyomizu-dera is superb. The historic shopping lane that leads to the temple adds to a wonderful experience.

A World Heritage site. Established in the 6th century, this shrine is one of Japan's finest, and is famous for its beautiful Shinden-zukuri style structure (architecture representative of a nobles' residence in the Heian period). Peace Memorial Park & Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum
This large-scale park was established in 1949 after the Pacific War ended, and is visited by countless visitors as a symbol of peace. The museum within the park is an Important Cultural Property of Japan, and was built to remind future generations of the terror wrought by atomic bombs.

Atomic Bomb Dome
The Atomic Bomb Dome is a symbol of the disastrous atomic bombing during WWII, the first atomic bombs used in human history, and has been preserved as it was to promote peace and elimination of atomic weapons around the world.

    - The order of activities and arrival times may differ greatly depending on road conditions and congestion at destinations.
    - In case a planned destination is unavailable, the tour may be led to an alternative destination.
     Meiji Shrine, Sumida Hokusai Museum, Shitamachi Museum, Roppongi Hills Observation Deck, Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, Rikugi-en Garden, etc.
    - After sightseeing in Asakusa, the tour will end on site, so participants must make their own way back to their hotels.
  • [Important Notes/Supplements: About Day 3 Itinerary (Nikko Tour)]
    - Heavy traffic due to colored leaves is expected every year on Irohazaka Winding Road from Oct. to early Nov. Therefore, Kegon Falls and Lake Chuzenji will not be visited during this period. In such cases, any of the following will be visited instead of Kegon Falls and Lake Chuzenji: Tamozawa Imperial Villa, Kirifuri Falls, Taiyuuin Mausoleum at Rinno-ji Temple, Futarasan Shrine, etc.
    The alternative plan outlined above may be used even outside of the designated period (Oct. - early Nov.) due to road conditions or other reasons.
    - No refunds will be issued as a result of location changes.
    - As the tour uses a bus for the entire itinerary, arrivals at each site may be delayed due to road conditions.
    [Important Notes/Supplements: What to Wear/Bring]
    - The tour will walk up and down steps and hilly paths at Nikko Toshogu Shrine and Kegon Falls. Be sure to wear shoes and clothing which are comfortable to walk in.
  • [Important Notes/Supplements: About Day 4 Itinerary (Mt. Fuji & Hakone Tour)]
    - After departure, the tour may stop by at GINZA SIX to pick up customers. Please note that customers may not disembark for a break here.
    - The order of the tour itinerary is subject to change due to road conditions or other reasons.
    - If Mt. Fuji's 5th Station cannot be reached due to road surface freezing, an accident on the Fuji Subaru Line, or weather conditions, the tour will be taken to the highest elevation point possible. No alternative destinations are planned when the tour reaches beyond the 1st Station. When the tour has to turn back at the 1st Station, or when the Fuji Subaru Line is completely blocked, the tour will visit Fujisan World Heritage Center or Lake Kawaguchi Oishi Park. Please note that an alternative itinerary may also be omitted depending on road conditions.
    - Due to weather conditions, Mt. Fuji may not be visible even from the base. However, the tour will not be canceled and refunds will not be given for this reason.
    - If the Lake Ashi cruise or Komagatake Ropeway cannot be boarded (when not visitable due to suspension of operation, road congestion, or conditions at other sightseeing areas), the tour will be guided to one of the following alternative destinations. (The tour will not be canceled and refunds will not be issued for this reason.)
    Swan Lake Cruise Ship on Lake Yamanaka, Odawara Castle, Hakone-en Aquarium, Hakone Ropeway, Hakone Pirate Ship, Narukawa Art Museum, Hakone Checkpoint, Lake Kawaguchi Cruise, Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway, Itchiku Kubota Art Museum, Hakone Shrine, Oshino Shinobi no Sato, Ninja Bus, etc.
    - After the tour, the bus may stop at Hakone area hotels to allow customers on tours with accommodation included to disembark.
    - Depending on the season and day of the week, traffic conditions may vary, and arrival time at each location may be considerably delayed. Thank you for your understanding.

    Tours from Dec. to Mar. depart Odawara Station between 17:00 and 18:30.
    Tours from Apr. to Nov. depart Odawara Station between 18:00 and 19:30.
    - On the day when the annual Mt. Fuji Hill Climb is held, which is usually on a weekend in June (schedule for 2023 is yet to be determined), the Fuji Subaru Line is closed until around 14:00. The tour will proceed on this day as well. Please note that there will be changes to the itinerary order and sightseeing locations, and the Komagatake Ropeway and Lake Ashi cruise may be changed to alternative itineraries. Furthermore, please note that refunds will not be issued in this case, and customers will not be notified separately when the schedule has been determined.
    - The trip from Odawara to Kyoto may require a train transfer midway at Shizuoka Station or Nagoya Station. If so, a staff member will assist participants in transferring.
    - The arrival time in Kyoto may be later than scheduled, around 22:00 - 23:00, due to traffic congestion and other reasons.
  • [Important Notes/Supplements: About Day 5 Itinerary (Nara Afternoon Tour)]
    During the Gion Festival (Sakimatsuri, July 15 - 16), drop-off service to Karasuma Kyoto Hotel and Hotel Nikko Princess Kyoto will be unavailable due to traffic restrictions.
    Participants will walk from the parking lot to Todai-ji Temple (about 15 min one-way). Thank you for your understanding.
    Please inform us at the time of booking if any person in your group is using crutches or a wheelchair, or has a chronic illness that makes it difficult to walk for long distances.
    At Kasuga Taisha Shrine, the tour does not include entrance to areas requiring admission.
    Nara Nagomikan may be omitted from the itinerary if it is closed on the day of the tour, or as a result of traffic congestion.
    Connection to the Kyoto Night Tour or Kyoto Maiko Dinner is not possible.
    The order of activities and arrival times may differ depending on road conditions and congestion at destinations.

    The Kyoto Imperial Palace is closed to visitors on the following days. As such, the tour will visit Kitano Tenmangu Shrine instead. If the closed day falls on the 25th, the tour will visit Nishi Hongan-ji Temple. (Mondays, Tuesday if Monday is a national holiday, and whenever there is an Imperial Household event)
    Nijo Castle is closed on Tuesdays in January, July, August, and December. (Closed on the following day if Tuesday is a holiday.) If closed, Ryoan-ji Temple will be visited instead.
    During the Gion Festival (Sakimatsuri, July 15 - 16), drop-off service to Karasuma Kyoto Hotel and Hotel Nikko Princess Kyoto will be unavailable due to traffic restrictions.
    Connections from this tour can be made to the "Kyoto Maiko Dinner" and "Kyoto Night Tour."
    Participants will walk from the parking lot to Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine (about 15 min one-way). Thank you for your understanding.

    - On Day 4 , suitcases and other large pieces of luggage will be transported separately the following day by truck from hotels in Tokyo to hotels in Kyoto.
    Also, they will be sent from hotels in Kyoto by truck on Day 8 to hotels in Tokyo.
    *In regards to the luggage transport service for the return trip, while delivery is scheduled for the same day, it may be next day due to shipping company conditions. In such cases, it will be sent separately from Kyoto hotels on Day 7 and arrive in Tokyo the following day.
    *One article of standard size luggage per customer will be transported.
    *As delivery is the following day, please prepare an overnight package for a single night stay. (outbound trip)
